a bit about me:

I am a freelance music and culture writer for online and print publications including The Guardian, The Yorkshire Post, The Quietus, Clash Magazine, Loud & Quiet, The Skinny and more. My writing primarily focuses on women in music, mental health and local / DIY music. I have contributed to various panels on women in music journalism and remain an active proponent and supporter of women writers.

I occasionally write content - mainly press releases and liner notes - for record labels including Oddbox and Cherry Red Records.

I wrote a chapter on post-punk group The Fall for a book called 101 Albums To Die Before You Hear, edited and published by influential music critic Everett True.
