a bit about me:
I am a freelance music and culture writer for online and print publications including The Guardian, The Yorkshire Post, The Quietus, Wire, Clash Magazine, Loud & Quiet, The Skinny and more.
I also write content - mainly press releases and liner notes - for PR's, artists and record labels including Odd Box and Cherry Red.
I have contributed to various panels on women in music journalism and hosted live Q&As. My writing features in various books; I have an essay on post-punk group The Fall in Messing Up The Paintwork: The Wit & Wisdom of Mark E Smith and a chapter in 101 Albums To Die Before You Hear, edited and published by influential music critic Everett True.
